Site concept and development, design, copy writing and marketing materials developed for sculptor Christopher E. Green.

Problem: Christopher had a site that was set up a number of years ago in the UK, and the site required uploading of ftp files and knowledge of html and css coding. He could not even make simple text changes to his own website and with upcoming showings of his sculpture wanted a site that was updated, and simpler to use.

Solution: Heather immediately had a creative idea for the site structure and design that would reflect the solidity and simple elegance of his creations and balance it with simple infrastructure and make it easy for people in New York to find him online. She took charge and worked with our designer to present Chris with a design idea for his site. She also had the idea to create a downloadable portfolio that could be printed from anywhere. Chris quickly took to the ideas and he now has an easy-to-manage WordPress site that he can upload new images of his work to, and add captions in an elegant photo gallery display on his website. He can add text where he wants, whenever he wants, and he has both an  online Artist Statements and Biography, as well as a print-quality downloadable media kit with Artist Statement, Biography, Portfolio pages and Contact information. The site works nicely on the iPad as well as desktops and laptops, and much of the focus of the design is ‘above the fold’ where it easier to view on laptops.
